About the course

Degree in Food Technologies provides the knowledge about food science and technology, storage technologies, preservation and processing of meat, fruits and vegetables, food packaging, food safety, food processing methods. It also allows to master practical skills in technology of food manufacturing, culinary and pastry products, development of new food products, design and reconstruction of restaurant business enterprises, as well as in restaurant business plan designing.

Graduates of Food Technologies Bachelor Programme will also get the knowledge in the physiology of nutrition, food and dietary supplements, practical skills in the methods of microbiological, chemical and technological control of raw materials, intermediate products and finished food products, food biotechnology. International students also study the standardization and certification of food products, research the food standards and its compliance with the requirements of ISO 9000 in details.

Training in the field of “Food Technology” involves obtaining deep theoretical and practical skills in the technologies of storage, preservation and processing of meat, fruits and vegetables, acquisition of professional skills in cooking dishes and culinary products, developing new types of food products, designing and reconstructing food industry enterprises and restaurant industry, which will give the opportunity to work on the leaders the positions in food businesses of different forms of ownership.


The graduates occupy the following positions:

  • teacher for college or vocational education institution

Entrance requirements

There are no admission tests or entrance exams if you apply for Undergraduate Degree Program.

To apply for Postgraduate Degree, it is necessary to obtain the Undergraduate Degree and pass the interview on specialized subjects (see syllabus above) and foreign language. The duration of study for those students, who have received a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technologies is 1,5 years. Those students, who have received a Bachelor’s Degree in other field, study for 2 years.

In Ukraine the fees should be paid in national currency at exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine.
