Biotechnology is the broad area of biology involving living systems and organisms to develop or make products, or “any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use”. Now the technology of biological processes is gaining momentum in the modern world. The interaction of molecular biology, genetics, genetic engineering, biochemistry and microbiology, chemistry and chemical technology in the field of biotechnology leads to the creation of new biological agents, the improvement of biosynthesis management, and so on. The new biotechnology is genetic and cellular engineering, which created the possibility of processing the hereditary apparatus of organisms.
The educational program is aimed at preparing specialists who acquire skills of controlling and managing biotechnological processes, designing biotechnological productions, conducting environmental and genetic testing of raw materials and food products, and economics and organization of biotechnology production.
