In 2010 Cultural and Linguistic Centre of China was created in Poltava University of Economics and Trade by Confucius Institute of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Since then, it provides Poltava citizens and its guests with a chance to learn Mandarin language as well as learn Chinese traditions and culture. Poltava University of Economics and Trade International students will get a great opportunity to study Chinese language in this Center.

Levels: beginners, pre-intermediate, intermediate, upper-intermediate.

Duration: 36 lessons / course (3 months), 3 lessons / week

Course & levels description:

Beginners: this level of Bridging course is intended to introduce basic Chinese vocabulary and grammar. Students will also acquire native-speaker like pronunciation and practice communication skills on such topics as: greetings, age, nationality, family, leisure activities, food and drink, health. Students master the basic Chinese phrases and Chinese pronunciation. Also they practice how to write in Chinese.

Pre-intermediate & Intermediate: after being familiar with foundations of Chinese language, students move on in improving 4 main language skills: correct and confident reading and contemporary writing, active listening and fluent speaking. At the end of this Bridging course students will have the ability to talk about: public transport, buying and selling things, going to a bank, hobbies, holidays, sports, jobs, weather, future plans and intentions, giving gifts.

Upper-intermediate: graduates of this course level will confidently use Chinese in verbal and nonverbal communication. This level allows to use the Chinese language for expression the ideas and positions on different topics. This level will give the knowledge of significantly new quality. At the end of this level will allow you to learn to speak Chinese freely.
